Cat ppl will be like “There’s no love like a cat’s love” and dog ppl will be like “there is no love like a dog’s love” and they are both correct.
Every social animal you can have as a pet will have a unique way of bonding with a human, both as a species and as an individual. And i think that’s great. For a lot of them this includes accompanying you to the bathroom. Delightful. Life is worth living

There’s something so exhilarating about discipline. I don’t know why, or how, but for some reason the difficulty and intensity of staying disciplined is so titillating. The knowledge that those tiny disciplined decisions each day are leading you to something so coveted, so big and so important is truly one of a kind.
I need to reblog this because discipline is something I struggle with and never heard someone discuss making them feel positive. Discipline to me is just the voice in my head yelling at me to do better, try harder, you’re not good enough, and I of course always give up because it’s difficult to appease that voice, who then calls me “failure.” If the call to discipline made me feel satisfied instead of ashamed brow-beaten I would be unstoppable.

just because it’s a short film doesn’t mean it’s incomplete and should have a full-length movie adaptation
just because it’s an amazing movie that did really well doesn’t mean it needs a sequel
just because it’s a well loved classic tv show doesn’t mean it needs to be remade anew
let stories be exactly the length they are, they don’t need to be extended and drawn out and added onto and redone until they’re not good anymore. if your story is short but it works that way then it’s done. you don’t need to add more. knowing when to stop is so important

There’ll be a moment when you realise you’re 27 when yesterday you were just 17; and you wouldn’t be able to tell how a decade passed away and your life got divided into before and afters. The fury of youth will subdue and nothing will really change but everything will feel different when you look at old photographs and blurry videos taken on cheap mobile phones. Scents will remind you of childhood and certain friends you don’t talk to anymore, hangouts will become reunions and mom’s burnt pie will become the best food you ever had. And I know on some days you won’t be able to show anything of those 10 years but I hope you remember to breathe, and let go of the knot in your chest. I hope you go out in the sun and live a little, because tomorrow is 37.

This is a map of the range of all giraffe species. By my count that puts them in just 16 countries out of the 54 in Africa (of which 5 are island countries with no territory on the continental mainland). That’s 30%, quite a long way shy of all, and as you can see many of those countries that do have giraffes only have a tiny portion of their territory within giraffes’ habitats
Wow, I knew they weren’t in “every African country”, but I didn’t realize just how restricted their range was
Good teachers don’t mind saying “I don’t know” or that they need to look it up and will get back to you.
Not only that but giraffes in different areas have different patterns and it’s so cool
Masai giraffes look cool af

life is weird. i’ve been an adult for several years but only now that i’ve paid for this little bit of paper with my name and an ugly photo of me on can i pay again to go to another part of the world that we give a different name too.
but i can’t use that stupid paper because people won’t wear masks while living through a global pandemic
